We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to get stuck in and assist the MadLab team in the successful delivery of MAKE STUFF. Do you love getting creative? Or getting hands-on with tech? Want to learn new skills, or gain events experience? Then we’d love to hear from you!
If you enjoy chatting to the public and getting hands-on with events, then this role is for you. You'll be a key player in the MadLab team, helping out on MAKE STUFF event days from start to finish. Duties will be varied and include anything from setting up rooms, blowing up balloons, running errands, greeting visitors as they check in for workshops, to guiding the public around the event on the day.
If you enjoy passing-on your skills and knowledge to others, working with tech, getting creative or are just keen to gain experience in workshop delivery, then this role is for you. Assist our workshop leaders in setting up spaces and delivering activities from drop-in Minecraft, craft activities, soldering workshops to beginners programming classes.
You'll be a key member of our promotional team and keen to use your enthusiasm and local knowledge to help promote the MAKE STUFF events. From assisting with distribution to developing marketing databases, we need you to help spread the word!
Most MAKE STUFF events will be held in August and September, at the weekends, from 9am until 5pm. We also require extra assistance across the weekdays in the MadLab office on the run up to the live event dates.
All volunteers will be reimbursed for food and travel expenses.
You need to be 18 or over to apply.
